THE OTMOOR CHALLENGE & FETE

32nd YEAR

SATURDAY, 4th JUNE, 2011:
COURSES

The Ot Moor Challenge is, as the name implies – a challenge.
The half–marathon route consists of 6 miles of country roads and just over 7 miles of off road sections comprising stiles, ploughed fields, footpaths, bridleways and one demanding hill at Beckley, and circumnavigates Ot Moor, a large RSPB conservation area via 7 villages.

The event comprises of two main competitions, the half marathon walk starting from 9.00a.m. (with a short 5 mile walk option) and the massed start run at 2.00p.m.

At intervals around the course are 4 main checkpoints providing first aid, water and communications back to the control centre at the start – Horton-cum-Studley. The course is well marked with signs throughout and is complemented by several 'manual markers' who ensure competitors continuity. The following map depicts the route.
